Ratso's catch perch too. Not what I was hoping to catch, but I won't complain.

Thanks Greenedog. Computers aren't a strong suit of mine.

Does your dad ever catch anything besides crappie trolling like that?

I don't know how to post a link to another thread. But look for the thread titled GSSF- First Trip. That's a write up on the trip.
I wish I was still on that trip Strippitman!

That's funny you put that up there, Troy. I just had some ratsos delivered to the house last night. Never tried one before, so I hope they work.

Got out on a Greene County pond last night after work. Managed to get 8 nice gills on the ice. Caught mine on an orange/yellow jig. guy I was with was dead sticking with a float and didn't have any luck. Had about 5 inches of ice.

My brother and I got out on a pond in southern Monroe County yesterday morning. Had about 5 inches of ice. Caught a few, mostly dinks, but took a few home. Any other southerners attempt to get out this past weekend?

As of now, I think my trips this year are going to be fairly local. I plan to head north in a couple weekends to do some ice fishing. Looking at maybe Kosciusko County. Lots of water up there. Keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend around here though. I plan to get the kayak out a lot this year. Bought my wife one for Christmas, so that's not an obstacle . I plan to spend more time scouting out Greene-Sullivan, Goose Pond, and Hillenbrand. Would also like to get on Dogwood either by boat or kayak. An Erie walleye charter has been something I've been thinking about for a couple years. This could be the year I really look into it.

Just got my kayak a couple months ago and I plan to spend a lot of time over there next year. Feel free to PM me if you want some company fishing.
