Mom and Dad got me one of those fillet tables with the built in sink for the fish camp(and even delivered it) and I just got this new fillet knife to take down. It's the same one that Jettie Rocks Fishing on YouTube uses, I ordered it through his affiliate link. Heck of a deal for $10 and free shipping going on right now.  |

My last night working then it's vacation time. I'm sure the week will fly by as usual. I've got my cameras and drone charged up. This will be the 3rd trip to Florida for the drone and it hasn't been out of the box down there yet!  I get busy and just forget about it. Plan on changing that this time. On top of catching some sheepshead I also plan on doing some crabbing. I tried blue crab years ago and didn't care for them but after watching a few videos on how to eat them I see now that I was eating some things that you're not suppose to(like lungs!)  The stone crab are in season and I thought about about getting some traps but they aren't cheap and there has been a problem in the Daytona area with people stealing them. I'm gonna buy some claws to try and if they're as good as they look I'll probably go ahead and buy some traps. You can get a kit to build 5 traps from cudjoesales.com/ for $110 plus shipping. I'm gonna bring some extra cash in case I find a deal on a kayak trailer too. I've got my eye on a couple on craigslist but I'm not even gonna contact the people until I get down there. |

Made it down this morning. Did some shopping and found a nice grill on clearance at walsuck. Now I need to go catch something to cook on it! Watching the Colts kick butt with mom and dad right now!  |

What was your technique for doing the crappie on the grill? I did mine in foil with just some butter, Old Bay, and some Creole seasoning. Gail did hers in foil and put some Rosso pesto sauce from Aldi on it. Hers was better.  |

The size definitely surprised me! I was thrilled to see it on there though. That's the main reason we bought the cameras was to capture a bear.
Mom and Dad had gone to dinner with another couple the night before I checked the camera and had a big bear run out in front of them. They had just told us about it before I checked the camera so we had to run across the road with the laptop to show them as soon as we saw it. LOL
