The vehicles and the junk under the carports belongs to the neighbor who watches over the place, but everything inside the trailer stays. I plan on taking my old truck down there and leaving it and I'm gonna look for a boat to keep down there too.
It's not on the water but there's 2 nice boat ramps just down the road.

The closing is done and it's now ours! We're going down in early June to check it out. We'll be leaving my truck down there and hopefully buying a boat to keep there.  |

I sure am getting excited to get down there and check the place out!  I'm working nights this weekend and it's kinda slow so I've been online checking out all the nearby springs and reading up on shrimping. Most of the shrimping in that area is done in the winter over around Daytona at night with lights and dip nets but there is also a summer run right in the St Johns River north of Lake George in which folks use cast nets. You find them on your graph and then throw on top of them. That's usually later in the summer though so I'll have to find something else to chase after in early June. Maybe some big gills! Gail's daughter along with Colton and his girlfriend are gonna fly down and meet us. I hired a local guy to clean up the outside of the place so hopefully Gail and me can knock out the inside cleaning and still have time to play while we're there. |

Drove straight through on Monday and have been working our asses off ever since. Mainly just cleaning. Might as well because I haven't seen the sun since Kentucky! Never seen just set in rains like this down here. Bought a boat today and I think we got a good deal; 18' pontoon with a remote control trolling motor, bimini top, live well, 40hp, and trailer. Pretty good shape too for $3700.   |

Oh, and Gail went over and fished off the neighbor's dock while I was grilling this evening and caught a 4 foot gator.   |
