So Gail pretty much hates my little center console boat I have down in Astor. Says it’s just too uncomfortable. I don’t really see it but I want her to be comfortable because that means more fishing! Lol.
I’m getting her pontoon boat ready for the long haul in December. Plan on setting it up as our crappie catcher. Not sure what I’ll do with my boat yet. Might sell it and get a Gheenoe for my salty adventures.

I just booked a charter to fish Ponce Inlet on Monday with Drop Em Down Fishing. He said the black drum and sheepshead are on fire right now and they boated a bull red this morning. I told him we’d like to put some fish in the cooler and he said that should be no problem right now. 🎣

Saw something interesting driving in yesterday. Some signs along the road at the Ocala National Forest said “Christmas tree cutting area” and there were several cars and trucks parked there. This was no small area either, probably hundreds of acres with young pine trees. I looked it up and for 10 bucks you can collect your own tree at the forest. Pretty cool!

Had Gail’s pontoon boat in the shop getting the impeller changed and a general checkup from sitting for 2 years. Had the guy mount led’s on the front and back so we’re out here fishing in the dark. 😉
Everything is working good other than the trolling motor. He had it running at the shop but now it’s not. Think it needs a new plug.
As I was typing this I just boated a nice channel cat! 😂

Found a u-pick orange grove just down the road between Barberville and Pierson. Not real cheap at $15 a bucket but they were organic grown sweet navels and better than the ones we’ve picked up at the flea markets this week. Pretty fun too! 🍊

Having issues with the pontoon boat so I had to put my boat in the water to go rescue it. 😂 Ran down to Lake George first to check my 2 crab traps and got my first catches in them! Had a small one in one trap and a nice one in the other. Just let them go since we’re getting ready to head home. It was an adventure getting the pontoon pulled to the ramp and loaded but I got her. Dropped her off at the mechanic to go through while we’re gone.
