I love Astor, Florida so much...

Was really wanting a place directly on the water in Astor but prices have just gone crazy lately. There's a place listed that's similar to mine that I wouldn't trade even for and they have it priced at $109,000. That's almost 4 times what I paid for mine in 2017!

Sure hasn’t been the vacation we planned. Was supposed to fly down Sunday with Chase joining us. I ended up testing positive for covid the night before vacation started. Luckily Allegiant was really cool about refunding our flight and rental car cost to vouchers even though we were way past the cancellation grace period. Gail decided she would rather quarantine in Astor so she took off driving Friday evening and made great time getting us down here. Unfortunately she woke up sick on Saturday so we’ve been nursing each other back to health since. We’re both doing good other than a new side effect that’s neck and back pain. That’s making it hard to sleep and keeping us pretty miserable. We were able to get on the water finally this evening but the bite wasn’t great. Gail caught a keeper redear and I caught a small gill. We kept the boat on the water and are going to try again in the morning.

Some before and after pics of the place. We still have a jungle but it’s a more manageable one now and hopefully the extra sunlight will help dry things out and keep the mold and mildew from growing on the buildings. We also had all the buildings pressure washed.

After I cut the filets off the jack the other day to use for cut bait, I put the remaining carcass in one of my crab pots and dropped it off the dock. Colt and me checked it last night and we had one little fella in it that we released. At least I know now that they do come up the river this far.
