I have had alot of good times on the water, but probably one of my best memories was a couple years back, when i was fly fishin for bluegill in my grandmas pond. I was using a 4 wt fly rod w a small ,white, foam spider.I caught a couple nice hand-sized gills, and then on my next cast, a big bass came up and sucked the spider right off the surface and i set the hook, and the bass was tearing line off my fly reel (I only had a 4lb leader), i fought him for awhile and finally landed him. He weighed 5 1/2 lbs 22" long and FAT. It was definitely my biggest fish on my fly rod.

The first coyote I ever killed was with my bolt action 22 rifle. (i shot, but didnt find one w my bow) It was late august, maybe early september. I slipped into the woods nice n early with my scoped 22 and a pocket full of bullets. But, I wasnt after coyotes..I was squirrel huntin. Well, I heard some squirrels cuttin up ahead so I quietly walked that way and a bunch of deer started comin up the hill to me, so I sat down on a log and watched them. The deer came right up to me and I had deer all around me, some within 10 yards. well they moved off behind me and a squirrel came out on a limb and I dropped him with a headshot, and I still just sat and watched for other squirrels in the tree... well about 5 minutes passed and I looked up and saw a fawn running, and geuss what was behind her/him! So the fawn ran up to its momma, still about 30 yards behind me..the coyote stops, I pull up on a tree and make a quick shot(about a 25 yard shot) And I nailed that dog in the back of the head and cut the spinal cord I geuss, cause that dude dropped! and then he was just moving his mouth but not moving his body, so I shot him again and he was done. Took him home for pictures but didnt have a good coat on him. But it was a cool squirrel hunt! haha Also one time I got charged by a big red fox while squirrel huntin..but it was still dark and he didnt know what I was.I had a chance to shoot a fox at 10 yards with my 22, but I decided to let him go.

Here's a picture of my first turkey from this spring. -im not really sure how to put a picture up, or if it will work, but im gonna try and we'll see if it works lol I set up within 50 yards of the roost about a half hour before daylight..i could see the birds in the tree. Had my hen+jake decoys 10 yards in front of me at the edge of the field. at daylight, one by one about 18 birds flew into the middle of field 80 yards away.1 hen, bunch of jakes + 2 toms. I was callin with my mouth call and htye were answering but were moving away. When I was finally able to move i got my slate call from my vest and threw out some loud aggressive yelps , they answered andf i yelped right back every time they gobbled until they i got them fired up, then i put the call on the ground and got ready.. I looked to my right and saw the two toms RUNNING to me. they stopped by the group of jakes and pecked at them to move them away, from there they just blew up into full strut as they slowly walked stright at me! I was shakin and i was wanting to shoot the whole time. I knew they would get closer and i was worried about killing them both with one shot, so i waited for a good shot. they got to about 12- 15 yards and they were right next to each other, but the one of the turkeys started to stick his neck out slowly at the hen decoy and i took the shot. After the shot i thought i missed because he fell straight down in the tall grass and did not move. After that i yelped with my mouth call and the other tom gobbled and then walked over to my turkey and jumped on it, and i stood up and got him off my bird!! Talk about exciting! I got him in the first 15 minutes of the season too. He weighed 21 lbs and had a 10" beard. Also, when the toms were comin to me, i heard the old hen across the field start yelping really loud..It was a fun hunt. Attachments:
