This evening, Adam and I went to the reservoir at Knightstown, which was our first ever visit there. Although the bank space is somewhat limited, the fishing went pretty well as we landed four carp with the best one being Adam's real nice 18lbs. fish. Need to try there again soon! A nice sunset capped the day off nicely. Best of the two I caught: Adam's best went 18lbs. Adam's rig: Day's end: Once again, I spaced-out on the BB&B contest.

Adam, Jordan and I spent pretty much all day fishing at Monroe in the Pine Grove section of the lake. While we did catch a good amount of fish, none were of anything even close to what we'd consider a large size. The best two carp maybe went 6 or 7lbs. and all of the crappies were tiny. Too nice not to be outside though...that's for sure! A guy bringing his boat in told me the highest water temp he saw while out was 52.

Caught a few fish at Franklin Park while listening to the basketball tournament. Nothing real spectacular as far as the fish were concerned, but the weather was nice and I had a good time!

Thanks Troy,
He caught it on a dark green Yamamoto Kreature, worked weightless and near the bank.

Today, Adam and I went to New Castle trying mainly for carp, but blanked as far as those were concerned. Adam eventually decided to fish for bass and caught a couple, including this nice one which weighed just under 4 pounds.

There was a good turn-out, and everyone seemed to have a real good time there today. "Sportsman's Hall" was full of sportsmen: Mitch Donlan selling his home-made carp rigs. Nice ones too! "Here, fishy fishy" Jordan got a few!

Adam and I only managed to land a few small fish, but at least Adam did get to use all the fancy new carp fishing gear that he got for Christmas! Waiting for a bite:
