Anyone plannin on doin any gardening this year? Me and my wife were talking tonight about what were putting out this year. Mostly just your average stuff. Sweet Corn, Strawberries, I decided on some Yellow watermellon, along with an assortment of peppers. I think she is wanting to put out some lettuce and herbs. One of the things I want to try this year that I am REALLY excited about, is MORELS! yes thats right, I said MORELS!! I found this site while surfing a few years ago, that sells Morel Growing Kits. It seems to be a pretty established site, and I have been wanting to do this since I first read it. The kits go for I think like $30 or so, and appearently people have found morels as long as 20 years after planting. It says it may take a few seasons to produce, But I think this year, I am going to go ahead and take a few dollars out of my return and buy a kit. I will post a link to the site for anyone else who is interested, and will try to keep ya informed. I want to hear some of the things others are planning to grow this year.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Ice skating and ice fishing can be a perfect way to spend time outside during the holiday season, but it can also be very dangerous.
In fact, two teenagers in Indiana and Illinois died after falling through the ice on Wednesday.
The first rescue mission took place in central Illinois as crews pulled the body of a 15-year-old boy out of the water after being submerged for 90 minutes. He and his dad fell through ice while ice-fishing.
A similar situation happened the same day but in Columbus, Indiana.
Three teenagers fell through the ice while walking across a lake. Two survived, but a 16-year-old boy was in the water for over two hours before his body was recovered.
News 10 learned a third child fell through the ice in Harrisburg, Illinois Thursday afternoon. Luckily, the child fell near the bank and was able to crawl to safety.
Now, Indiana Conservation Officer Max Winchell warns everyone about the dangers when dealing with ice.
"I'm not going to stand here and tell you it's safe even if it was 14 inches thick," Officer Max Winchell said. "It has to be good clear ice and that takes some really cold nights, with no wind, and we haven't had those conditions really. "
Instead the Wabash Valley has seen sun shining down, melting certain parts of the ice, and snow covering the ponds.
"That doesn't make for good ice, so you really have to test the ice as you go out," Officer Winchell said.
Winchell said you should wear a life jacket and take an ice pick to test the entire the area.
He also said if you do fall through the ice, you have time to get out. Winchell said to face the direction you fell in, kick you feet and get your body in a horizontal position to get your self out.

THATS messed up. Its crap like THAT, that gives hunters a bad name, and fuels the fire for groupes like PETA. Thes guys should Grow some balls, Man up to what they did, and Learn to do this the RIGHT WAY!

That is HORRIBLE!! I hate to hear anything like this. Another thing you can do, is call your local News station. See if they can get it on the air so other people can see. you never know this guy may have pi$$ed off someone who knows he took it and wants payback. I'm sure they would'nt pass on a good story. If theres anything we can do to help, Let us know.

Thanks Joe, That would be much appreciated. I will get ahold of ya when it gets close to time. I think i got alot of research and practice till I'm ready to go out though.
