I decided to try to kill a doe this morning. Before it was light I heard stuff walking around me but couldn't tell what it was. Once it got light I spotted 3 does but they never came in range. Then around 9:30 I spot what I think is a coyote. I get out my pinnacle rabbit distress call out and get my bow and camera ready. I zoom in and its a bobcat! I get some good footage as its trotting by and once I don't see it I start blowing on the call and it comes back within 40 yds. Here's a still from the video. This is the first time I have ever seen one. It didn't look much smaller than the average yote. I coudn't get a good still because it was trotting pretty fast, you can see it a lot better in the video.

Awesome footage Chase. I have never seen one in the wild and that one you saw was a lot bigger than I thought they were. nice job with the filming too.

Very Cool!! Did you have any idea there were bobcats in your area? From the looks of that one somebody around there might be missing some livestock.

That's awesome. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous, been wanting to see one in person for years. Chase and me found some tracks that looked like they were from a big cat a few years ago, but this is the first concrete proof we've got that they are here!

Chase seen another one early Sunday morning! This was from the same stand, so it could be the same one, although he thought this one looked smaller. Click to view It was just to dark to get good footage.
