well, I have been kinda anxious, so I broke into my stores today. I did'nt like what I found. When I made my first two batches of mead( one traditional, one a melomel with Blackberry), I used a yeast called Premier Cuvee. This is what was recomended to me from someone . Turns out this is a Champagne yeast, and what it does is it will ferment out every last bit of sugar. You get a HIGH alcohol content, but you end up with something that resembles Champagne, with out the carbonation. (which I DO NOT LIKE ). I hate to say it, but I think BOTH batches are a loss . BUT this was to be expected. after all this something NEW to me, and I can only hope to learn from my Mistakes. So, I went out today, and got 12 lbs of honey, cleaned and steralized some equiptment, and picked up a new yeast. This one I have found GREAT reviews for online, and the Company that cultures the yeast RECCOMENDS it for MEAD MAKING . The yeast for this round is LALVIN D47. If i let it go for as long as I SHOULD,(thats not saying I will) the it should be ready by the next wing off.

Spainy, I have also been interested in pickin up an AA-12. I have been doing ALOT of research on them, but cant come up with a SOLID figure. I have found SOME saying they "COULD POSSIBLY" be seen on the CIVILIAN side for around a grand, but these are just educated guesses. IF by some chance they DO come on the civilian market(WHICH IS DOUBTFULL ) i would expect to see one at the 1500 sometime soon. The gun has been around for a while now, and the way I figgure, If it does get released, Its is likely someone at the 1500 will have one.(probably just to show it off along with a rediculously HIGH price tag.) BUT look at the bright side, ATLEAST YOU GOT THE SAIGA!

Well, THIS YEAR, will be MY FIRST OFFICIAL year Turkey Hunting. As of right now I will be using MOST LIKELY my Browning BPS, or my Bow. I have'nt bought a blind yet, but I am looking at a "Bully Blind," and I can use a slate call a little and a Mouth call even less, so If I do any calling, It will be after I do ALOT more practiceing. Don't have any prefference on a decoy, but I like The Pretty Boy decoys.

I myself would steer away from the idea of using a 44 special round. IMO a 44special is not enough to take down a deer. I'm NOT saying it can't be done, or even that it HAS'NT been done, It is just my opinion that a 44 special lacks the "KNOCKDOWN" power for large animals like deer. As for the .357, I would stay away from this also. As before, this is just MY opinion. I have a buddy that has a nice scoped .357 rifle thats very accurate. He and his son both deer hunt with it. BUT every year they shoot at SEVERAL deer that they SWEAR they hit, and they do find blood trails(even though they are VERY small) and NEVER find them. I KNOW FOR A FACT they both can shoot VERY well, because they live about a mile from me, and come over to the house to shoot all the time. Like I said In MY opinion, It lacks the raw knockdown power. Now, as for a 44 MAG. I know TONS of guys that hunt with these. I myslef would love to do the same, but its just not in the cards right now finance wise. IF you decide to hunt with the 44 MAG. and you plan to reload, Let me know I went through some of my reloading stuff to dig out some 44 MAG shells for frenchy the other day, and i still have some good brass. atleast a few boxes.
