Well, THIS YEAR, will be MY FIRST OFFICIAL year Turkey Hunting. As of right now I will be using MOST LIKELY my Browning BPS, or my Bow. I have'nt bought a blind yet, but I am looking at a "Bully Blind," and I can use a slate call a little and a Mouth call even less, so If I do any calling, It will be after I do ALOT more practiceing. Don't have any prefference on a decoy, but I like The Pretty Boy decoys.

I will be using my Remington 887 Nitro Mag with the cheapest 3.5 inch turkey loads I can find, either just running and gunning with my field and stream turkey vest, or in my comfort zone predator blind. I really like the She-mobile decoys from primos, and I also have a couple of foam hens and jakes. Still 2 months from spring/season down here, but GOOD LUCK!

I think I'll go back to the H&R 20 gauge single shot this year. With it, I'm 2 for 2, with Chase's Benelli I'm 1 for 3. I would like to stick one with my bow this year, but I don't know if we can afford a new ground blind and ours are trashed. I'm really looking forward to trying the Pinnacle Outdoors turkey calls this year.

I'll be using the Mossberg 500 12 gauge with some Remington 3in #4's. Last year my dad had a heart attack 2 days before the season started. I only ended up going one time and didn't see a thing.

Troy i dont know if they still have any but rural king sells a really nice ground blind for cheap. Its a barronett grounder 350. Its a hub style blind and its 90 inches from hub to hub. Im almost 6 foot 3 and i can stand up in it with plenty of clearance. Last time i was there in early december they were 89.99

If I get a blind, it will be a barronett. My gun I will be using my NEF 12ga Pump, with extra full turkey choke shooting 3in Winchesters. I use mainly an old Knight and Hale Slate and my voice for calling and use whatever decoys the person I am hunting with brings. If I am by myself I am a run and gunner so I pack light.

wow sounds like everyone was pumped but no one asked what ill be using. Hahaha lol Ill be using my new 12 gauge mossberg 935 with pistol grip and the new spring hardwoods camo by mossy oak. I think that this year since i hav hunted turkeys for a few years and been fortunate enough to take a few home with my old charles daley pump 20 im gonna sit against a tree with a few feather flex hens and a homemade feather flex half strutt jake decoy. It worked well last year on the youth hunt when i called one up with some hens. He came running in beard draggin all puffed up while the hens were at 8 steps, And i thought he was gonna rip my jake (aka JAYBUBB) to shredds until the sun hit me. He came out of strutt and took off. I shot and he fell, gott up, ran, shot, falls, gets up, runs, shot, miss, and no bird. Found a lil pinch of blood and feathers but no bird. Next day my bro missed at 20 yds.. Sorry Tom. Gettem next time. anyways hope i call one in this year. Ill try to get some video and put it on. When turkey season commes, I wanna see all your cool pics and videos on this thread. Good Luck

Chase and me were driving around here scouting for some waterfowl and came up on this field and I said "LOOK AT ALL THOSE GEESE!" Chase drives up to the field and they aren't geese, they're TURKEYS! I counted 64, all hens. I guess someone told them season has ended.

Got my BPS COMPLETELY tore down right now. gonna let it soak in a DEGREASER, and I plan to do a "COLD" blue on the bird barrel, trigger guard, and reciever/magazine this weekend. I just ordered a Hoppes Gun Blue Kit from amazon, since I did'nt fell like getting sick from walking in and seeing Gander Mountain's price, and another reason I chose Hoppees, is because I used a Birchwood and Casey's kit from walmart once on an air rifle, and WAS NOT PLEASED AT ALL. I MAY refinish the stock also, but I am not sure yet. Hopefully it will all be dome by season.

I'm probably going to be using my friend's single shot NEF 12 GA, but I am seriously looking at getting a Mossberg pump action. I also just found out that a family friend who is really into wood working and carpentry is going to try his hand at making some slate turkey calls, so hopefully I will be using one of those in the field for the first time. I will sitting in my Ameristep pop-up blind and using the collapsible decoys I picked up last season. I can't wait for the season to get here.
Anthony, keep us updated on your rebluing project. I'd like to see some pics if you have time to get some up.
