It's tough getting those 19+ inch bass in a picture by yourself, well using a cell phone anyway.
I don't believe the iPhone has any type of photo timer setting. I'm sure there's an application for that.

Thanks for touring me around Carroll County. For sort of northern Indiana, it is pretty country.

From what I've been reading the craze is starting to die down a bit. Most of the places I visit still have bare shelves, but I don't think a new shipment disappears as quickly as it used to.

The nice thing is that they will give you a report tailored to one or two WTI products that you choose. Here is the link to purchase the WTI soil sample kit... www.whitetailinstitute.com/products/herbicides/soil_sample.html They received my sample on a Monday and I had an email with my results before 9:00 am the next morning. I know some folks think the WTI seed is a ripoff and that you can get the same thing from the local co-op, but I don't think the seed from the local co-op goes through all of the testing and research that WTI does with their seed. Plus, the seed is developed specifically for deer.

A bit of an update on my food plot project. After the failure last year I had a little better game plan going into this year. Instead of sending my soil sample to the local SWCD, I sent it to Whitetail Institute. The difference in the information provided of the result sheets was night and day. Local SWCD... WTI... The price between the two was about a wash, but I'll use WTI every time from now on. So I got my soil prepared properly with the suggested lime and fertilizer. I frost seeded some clover and chicory just to see if I could get something started. I think the late spring helped me a lot, because it allowed the sprouts to get plenty of sun before the trees were all leafed out. The last couple of weeks I have been amazed at how much growth I am seeing each time I check the plot... I am going to let it go through the summer, mow it short in the late summer/early fall, do another soil check and then spread my Imperial Bowstand seed in late August/early September.
