Hey guys,
Anyone got any good turkey jerky recipes? I dug my turkey breast from last year's bird out of the freezer and thought that making it into jerky sounded like a great idea.
Any experience with making jerky in the oven? I don't have a dehydrator.
Any recipes, tips, or advice would be very appreciated.

That's really too bad Troy. Sorry to hear that. My dad lost his job about year ago. Was there for 33 years.

Sounds like it was a great time! Hey anthony, I noticed you said you were gonna be up in Lodi, Ohio in February. That's right in my neck of the woods. The pond I post a lot of my pictures from is maybe 2 minutes away from Lodi. Same with the farm I hunt. You might want to check out Spencer Lake for some ice fishing. It's really close to Lodi. Spencer LakeCan't go wrong with Lake Erie though, especially if you want a shot at some walleye and perch. Mostly gills and crappie in Spencer along with bass and cats. What brings you up this way?

Congrats man. You had the better team in the end. I was hoping for it to at least be a little closer. It was better than the other league I was in the championship game in. My entire team in that league didn't even break 60 and I lost like 58.7-165 or something. lol
Where do we send your winnings?

I might sit 2-3 of my best players just so Brian has a chance! You might have to. haha. I was just looking at our matchup and I think it's a little less close than the projections say it is. You never know though. I have some tough decisions to make to before the weekend on my lineup.

Well, it's Brian and Matt in the BB&B Bowl. Congrats guys. I gotta say.....in my 20 years of fantasy football I think this was the most boring season ever. Zero smack talk all season? Come on guys! I didn't want to whammy myself Troy. haha.

Here's my entry. Figured I may as well get one entered this year. After this fish I caught back in May, I had a terrible year fishing for bass. If you want to read the story on this bass, go here: Brian's Bass StoryIt is my personal best bass at 3lbs., 3oz. (And I just realized I'm a little late in getting this in on time. Worth a shot still...if it can't be in the contest...well then just enjoy the story and picture.)

Got 'em on the land I hunt. Been out after them a few times, but no luck. Don't have much opportunity during deer season because a couple other guys deer hunt the land.
Hope I get to put one down one day.
Cool pics Troy!

It looks like he was built for that, but even when he was here, he was usually off the field on third downs. I think that second knee surgery really hurt him. Just seems hesitant. Maybe he'll figure it out but the Colts need to give him 20-25 carries if they want production from him.

Great win by the Colts and Luck. Are you guys finally starting to see what I mean about Richardson though? He runs right into the backs of his own lineman so much and seems to always get stuffed right away.
At least you guys have a real QB. The Weeden show in Cleveland is impossible to watch. lol.

The new rookie wage scale means that there are no more huge contracts for even the highest draft picks. Take Sam Bradford and Cam Newtown for example. Bradford received a 6 year deal for 78 million and Newton got a 4 year deal for 22 million. The main problem with the Browns is that they have gone through so many coaches, offensive schemes, defensive schemes, and front office personnel that they can never sustain what they are trying to build. So the new regimes come in, clean house, try to get guys that fit what they want to do and then draft the players they like. I like all the moves this front office has made so far. All we can do is wait and see what happens, but I don't think losing Richardson set as back at all.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that not having Richardson is the only reason we are winning now. Hoyer had a ton to do with that, but our offense also runs a lot differently without Richardson. It's been pretty noticeable. We couldn't even have him on the field on third downs because he just doesn't get the job done in those type of situations. He's very frustrating to watch. Holes seem to slam shut on him and he doesn't have the burst to run past people out in space.
We have 32 year old Willis McGahee coming off no training camp and he is performing better than Richardson did while here. That is a direct comparison to Trent because we are running the same offense.
It definitely would have been interesting to see if he would have been a little better with Gordon and Hoyer on the field at the same time. I doubt it though. He is averaging about the same YPC with the Colts and they are the better team right now. I watched a lot of the Colts-Seahawks game today to see how Richardson looked and you can't tell me that he looked like an explosive NFL back that other teams game plan around and fear.
Linebackers in the NFL are way faster, bigger, and stronger except all but the best in college. Look at that National Champsionship game Trent played in against LSU. He wasn't any good. We supported him in Cleveland because he was a high draft pick and one of the stars of our team. Now that he is gone we can really see how ordinary he really his. He used to say here that he wants to be the best RB in NFL history. Well keep dreaming Trent.
BTW that was a great comeback by the Colts. They made adjustments and beat a good team. Luck is going to have one hell of a career there. I wish the Browns could have drafted him over Richardson in the first place.

Dem Browns now 3-0 without Richardson. That 3.0 YPC is brutal. One of Richardson's big problems is he doesn't follow the plays called. Our 6 time Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas who has played every snap since we drafted him in 2007 pretty much said that in an interview following the trade. We have Willis McGahee now and he follows the plays and gets some yards.
Richardson could run past and over people in college. That doesn't work in the NFL.

I'll try and get a couple uploaded. My dad caught a nice catfish this year and I caught that personal best bass of mine. A couple buddies of mine are big flathead catfisherman and caught a 50 and 32 pounder the other night. I've told them to join the site before but luckily they haven't yet. haha.
Are those flathead in the most recent entry? I hope they got released...
