any recommendations on a good scope for a .223 bolt action rifle for coyotes and groundhogs out to 300-400 yards? I want a good one and have about $400 to spend.

your ice is already bad at this time of year? geez. ice fishing is just really heating up on Lake Erie and the inland water will be frozen for a while yet.

if im not blind, then I saw Bear wearing boots which most likely had laces. bootlace is more than tough enough to tie a knife to a stick. nobody in their right mind would try jumping on a pissed off hog. the dogs that are used to hunt boars wear kevlar vests because the boars are so dangerous.

its not that hard to kill a hog that is tied up. I would like to see him corner a loose hog and kill it. also, why didnt he just tie his knife to a stick and stab the boar. seems much easier than diving on it which was just a gimmick for TV.

nice guitar playing. especially if he wrote it himself. I was expecting him to sing though.

k guys.. i understand that that les is really amazing to gout there all by yourself. but i learn alot more from grylls, plus he has to be able to build all the rafts, tents, fures, etc. i lioke watching them both but my personal opinion is that bear is the best. P.S. anybody saw the episode where bear kills the snared hog with wis knife??? i never see much of that from Les(-= If you read the rest of the thread, you will see that we discussed that episode. Bear didn't even snare that hog himself, a farmer tied it up for him. Plus he does stupid stunts non stop. A person trying to survive is not going to willingly jump in icy water and quicksand. He should be teaching viewers how to avoid that stuff. Les puts himself in situations that are actually likely to occur. He put one arm in a sling for an entire episode to simulate an injured arm.

yeah. us guys up here in the northern states need a ton of snow to get anything canceled. Down in Virginia and states around there, one inch is enough to disrupt travel.
