Thanks, Troy! It is amazing down there. I hooked into a big shark that I didn't land, but was able to fight for a while. Best part about down there is a gill-catching yankee like me can go down there and catch fish. The fishing is just that good!

I will enter one of my bull reds that I caught last week in Grand Isle, Louisiana. It was as long as my 4 year old and I just measured him at 40". Weight is probably in the 25lb range. I caught one the day before and it was over 20 and this fish is bigger. I did not weigh it, so this is purely an educated guess. He was caught on cut mullet in the surf. All the stories about the strength of these fish are true. They fight like freight trains.

Looks nice! What's the number of boats in the plastic navy now?

Chase, have you had a chance to see Tyler in concert? We saw him in Indy in December. It was a good show. Was supposed to see him in Louisville in May, but that got canceled.

Matt, I believe that sunset park is open to the public. I’ve heard some good fish stories from there too!

Fish or not, you’ll get a good upper body workout in throwing those things all day.

All great pics, but the third one down is a wall hanger for sure! Glad you all caught some fish.

Patrick, kayaks don't need any kind of sticker or registration, unless they're motorized of course. As far as drinking goes, they can get you for BUI even in a kayak from what I've read. I would imagine it's a common sense thing, as long as your not causing any trouble I doubt anyone would bother you. I've paddled right past co's and haven't been checked for anything yet. The difference is, Troy, you look more respectful and honest then, oh say, some others.

Hey Greenedog, I've looked in the regs for anything about registering kayaks or permits and I do not see anything. Am I missing something or are kayaks free of any regulations in Florida? We are taking our yaks down to Navarre Beach in October and we're staying on the sound side which should make for great paddling waters. Also, have you heard how the state of Florida feels about consuming beer on a kayak?

How many boats does one man need? He's stocking up for the BBB Florida get together Exactly what I was thinking. When are you gonna start renting out this fishing destination, Troy?
