For the last two years we have had spring floods now we get a drought We got a little sprinkle yesterday. Ponds are drying up, farmers are having to sell their cattle, trees are turning brown. Anybody know if they"ll come back to life? A little rain sure would be nice.

Nice! I found some frog legs at a buffet not to long ago ,and they surprisingly tasted pretty good. That one tuna company says "chicken of the sea" this is "chicken of the pond"

Yep, started May 15, this was my first outing of the season. I haven't got around to cook them yet, but if I don't eat them by the time I shoot a deer this season, they go great with back strap!

Thanks, there's all kinds of things we call them. Bream, perch, gogle-eye, warmouth, bluegill, sunfish, perch, toe heads, the list goes on and on.

Never heard of a bottle cap lure ,but I have seen somebody do something similar to a metal key. As you could imagine it was used like a spoon.

Went on a squirrel hunt this morning. I got in the woods at 6:15 and finished at 7:30. I saw five and shot three. Didn't miss any but its pretty hard to miss when your shooting a 12 ga with a modified choke shooting 6 shot. They'll eat good

Caught a couple perch by the dock today. Here are my best two. I don't know why but all of the better ones were in about 15' of water( which explains their dark coloring ) while all of the others were in about 5' on beds. caught them on night crawlers free lining without a weight.

Nice fish, the only way i'm gettin bass to bite consistently is with a spook or pop-r in the early morning. Bite slows down at around 10:30 and it gets really slow.

I've caught a few on our lake. Most of them stay on the north side of the lake but, after the flood they kind of scattered everywhere.
