Well, My first advice, before any, is to take a gun safety course, and a hunter safety course. They dont last too long, but are VERY rich in useful information for a beginner. After thats said and done, get some time in practiceing, Don't commit to buying anything right off the bat. Chances are you probably have a friend or a relative that owns a weapon/weapons, and if you tell them you are interested in getting involved in the outdoors, you can probably talk them into letting you shoot theirs to see what you think you can handle. Dont Jump right in and grab a 30-06 or something huge, start off small, and get used to shooting. How the gun works, aiming, where your target is, your most comfortable way to hold the gun, ect. Once you have accustomed your self to this enviroment, THEN GRADUALLY move up. For deer hunting, check your local Laws and Regulations as far as what you "CAN" and "CAN'T" hunt deer with. I know Indiana does not allow RIFELS, but other states like Illinois do. Depending on what type of guns you like, and your shooting capability, THEN you can decide on what type of weapon to buy. Hope everything works out for you, and remember This Site is FULL of EDUCATED hunters and fisherman, who are WILLING to help and show the RIGHT ways. If you have a question, just ask.

No Idea, but a make and model would help. If you CAN find out a make and model on it, Let me know, I have a copy of Blue Book of Gun Values, and maybe we can find out what its worth.

I have allways agreed they are spotted bass, thanks for the reassurance guys. As far as inter breeding goes, i don't believe they are a lareg/small mouth hybrid, but i do know that when the Small mouth and the Spotted bass Breed togeather, they are known as a "MEAN MOUTH" and MAN O MAN DO I WANT ONE!!! Heres some pics of the MEAN MOUTH BASS

Me and yjguy went back to the walnut lastnight. we only caught about 18 or so, they just werent bitein well. we Did however find a REALLY nice lookin catfishin spot. heres the pics heres my first one of the night. This is my first "MIDDLE MOUTH" of the night. Me and YJGUY Call them that, because we believe they are a smallmouth/largemouth hybred. They usually have red/orange eyes, and a spotty line rinning down their body, but also have a mouth too small to be a largemouth. Justin Little Crappie Good sized smallie. probably the biggest SMALLMOUTH of the night. about a pound.

Its a GREAT Catch, but i also am kinda on the fence. Its hard to tell if its and Intentional 3 fingers for the BBB Rep., or if thats just the way he's holding it. either way it goes, CONGRATS on such a nice fish and hope you are entered. I think I will go ahead and say yes, since he does have his pinky tucked, and i know i would not INTENTIONALLY hold a fish like that unless i was puttin the 3 fingers up.

be patient. I went all last year, and only got one shot with the bow, but if i had a gun i could have dropped 6. plan your shots. dont freak if you miss, just re-knock and maybe you'll get another shot
