Out here fishing the dock again because the wind is howling. I was inside trying to fix mom’s laptop when I got a call from Gail that she had something BIG on! Got out here in time to watch the fight for a few minutes before it straightened her hook. I didn’t get to see it but she said it came up out of the water once. She thought it was a gar but it wasn’t really shaped like one. Striper? We’ll never know. 😢

Ha, lots of big stuff swim in that river. I caught a giant dogfish on Lochloosa lake one day and could have sworn it was a 10 lb bass till we got it next to the boat. Maybe you'll get a better look at the next one.
