I've actually been checking out these kayaks. You can get the yak and the duck blind for it for under a grand at Bass Pro.

You ever get any ducks hanging on the ponds? Yeah I've kicked them up before. Usually get some wood ducks early when the acorns drop and a few mallards later. Haven't seen anything so far this year. |

I've been watching this guys videos lately. He does some big spread hunts but I mostly enjoy his solo yak hunts.

Headed down to Hillenbrand FWA this morning. Saw a flock of ducks as I was crossing the lake that I probably kicked up. Saw another pair before shooting time then didn't see anything until around 8:30. Had 3 ducks circle 3 times then cupped up and I managed to miss 3 times. Was quiet again until about 10 when a single duck came into the decoys and I once again unloaded but managed to down it on the last shot. I need to practice! I'm shooting a new Winchester SXP that I've only shot to pattern it until today. My lone duck was a blue winged teal hen(I think.)   |

I think I would rather deal with the cold up here rather than the gators and skeeters.  I do like how she cooks them at the end, I'll definitely be giving it a try. I cooked mine a similar way last night and it was good; cut the breast into chunks them marinated in Italian dressing, wrapped in bacon and cooked in the air fryer until the bacon was done. Not bad! |

I saw a pic on Facebook of a big gator laying under a decoy spread. 😳 Mosquitoes look terrible.

I do like how she cooks them at the end, I'll definitely be giving it a try. I cooked mine a similar way last night and it was good; cut the breast into chunks them marinated in Italian dressing, wrapped in bacon and cooked in the air fryer until the bacon was done. Not bad!
Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
