I think we’re almost seeing a sliver of light at the end of this looooong tunnel of remodeling! The kitchen cabinets are here and are scheduled to be installed Thursday. I cannot believe how hard it is to find even decent help these days! Gail and me are both having shoulder issues so we paid the guys that were working on the kitchen and bathrooms $75 to hang a ceiling fan. When we got in that evening we looked at the fan and it was totally screwed up! The brackets were upside down, they forgot the decorative cone on top that covers the screws, it was a joke. Gail and I took turns fixing it as our shoulders would allow. I told Gail from now on we’re just doing everything ourselves. It’s sad that we can do better than the guys that are doing this for a living. We’ve been short handed at work for 18 months and I’m totally over covering extra shifts and having to pay dumbasses to work on our home. They can find someone else to cover those shifts! I’ve got stuff to fix and fish to catch. 😂

Welp, I crawled under the house today and now I’m pissed. All of the insulation that was ripped out had not been replaced. The waterlines were just left exposed. One of the drains to the toilets was never reattached, just left to go under the house. The new waterline’s were ran beneath the framing and will be hard to insulate. The top f-up though is the gas line. Supposedly it was ready to go but I had Gail turn on the gas at the tank and it was leaking so bad I had to have her immediately shut it back off. And now I’m also missing some of my tools I had in the house. 🤬

More progress. The installer forgot to put on one of the drawer pulls. He lives an hour away so Gail told him that we could put it on. For the ridiculous amount he charged I would have had his ass back here if he had to drive 8 hours. 🙄
