Kept 2 crappie, the cat, and 4 bluegill for dinner. Threw back a bunch of gills.

Colton come down on Thursday for a visit and we fished the ponds a little while. One of the very few if any times I’ve been skunked there! Colt did catch a few small bass and had one of those big crappie get off.
On a side note I picked up a solar bug zapper at Ollie’s and hung it off the dock. Hoping to kill a few bugs and feed the fish at the same time. I’m working nights now so not sure how it’s working. I’ll check on it next week.

Gail's house went on the market today. She decided to sell it with just 10 acres and keep the farm land which I think was a smart move.

Tried to catch my first fish of ‘23 but I forgot how hard it is to fish with Daffy. 😂
I did end up hooking 3 but lost them all. Was using a ratso and they were just grabbing the tail. I did have one almost in and it was a nice crappie.

Fish fry!! Gail and me decided to take a break from the moving today and wet a line. We kept 15 gills and 2 channel cats. Had another nice catfish get off at the bank. Not a single crappie caught. In fact we didn’t get a bite at the woods pond where the big specks usually come from.
I cleaned them up and Gail invited her mom and stepdad over for pretty darn delicious meal!

First off a big thanks to Gail’s son and her daughters boyfriend for coming out Saturday morning to help move stuff and thanks again to Chase for coming out Monday evening to help with some stuff I just can’t do by myself.
I’ve been off for 6 days and it’s been nonstop moving and working on stuff. I’m just about spent. We finally got the storage container delivered yesterday but I haven’t had a chance to move anything into it yet. Today was spent sanding and painting trim, cleaning windows, and I just ended the night scrubbing siding that the guy she hired to power wash couldn’t get clean a couple weeks ago. All it took was a couple hours, some soap and a brush attached to a drill. She paid some dipshit $300 and he worked on it half a day and you couldn’t tell he touched it. 🙄
Enough complaining, I’m going to bed! 😂

Woke up this morning to a house full of dust. 🤬 We have a contractor finishing out the basement and I don’t know if he was using a power sander or what but EVERYTHING is covered in drywall dust.
