I was gonna enter my pb 2# 3oz crappie for "Fish of the Year", but now Mom, Dad, and you have all already beat it!!!! Hoping to top it tomorrow morning. Kept 22 more today with no 2 pounders. There were guys catching them there today though. Sitting on the dock now trying to catch a FOY candidate. |

We were just discussing that today Dan. If we owned a place here on the river I think we could stay year round. Lots of places for sale but anything on the water is very very expensive.

This 2 pound crappie from today makes 32 for the year; and the best part? Every one over 2# was released to get even bigger!  |

Since posting my crappie videos on crappie.com I've been corresponding with a former Hoosier who lives down there now and fishes the Florida Crappie Club tournaments. He sent me the results of the April 11th tourney in Astor and the big fish was a spawned out 18" 3lb 1oz monster! The largest crappie ever caught in a tournament in the 15 year history of FCC.  |
