I don't know of them big old pits in the Dugger Unit ever having enough ice to fish? Also, the ones that have the riverine species are closed to fishing during waterfowl seasons.

The fish in my profile picture was caught in MN. It was 52.75 inches and 41 pounds. I caught it on a G&G Inline Spinner. The last trip I had a few follows on the spinners, but we caught the all the fish on Rapala jerk baits.
I belong to the Musky Inc Chapter 42 in Indianapolis. Every January we have the DNR come in and give a State of the Musky report. There are quite a few guys that fish the lake with great success. Largest one I've heard caught out of Bass Lake is 45 inches.
The DNR stocks 1100 muskie in Bass Lake each year. It also has stocked a few other lakes in the Duggar Unit.

Gail and me went over to Bass Lake on Monday evening and did some trolling, but no luck. We both had on the big white "Guide Dog" lures that Chase has had so much luck with.

A friend of mine was over on Duck yesterday. He said that he threw the tackle box and didn't see or catch a thing.

It was my understanding that the musky stocked in the Forest were true musky, not a hybrid. The Division of Forestry posted this on their FB page... ...it was caught out of Frost Lake and said to be a fifty-incher. I have not been able to find this pic anywhere else, any idea when this fish was caught?

The photo was posted on 10/29, but doesn't give any info as to when it was caught.
