Greendog My partner canceled on me at about 11:30 the night before because he was out drinking an knew he would not be able to wake up. I tried to send you a text on the way down but the only number I have is your boys and for some reason the text would not go through. I actually tried multiple times. Send me a phone number that I can get you on because I am sure that it won't be the last time I have someone with something to do at the last minute. I also have gooseponds email but it was a last minute thing. OK, I sent a pm with the numbers. I'm in the middle of a 60 hour work week, so I wouldn't have been able to go anyhow this time.

Did you do any good Fever. I would think with the front that just came throught that the fishing would be tough today. It is supposed to be a very hot mid week bite this coming week and I have already planned on taking at least one day and probably two days off work. Also what were the water temps, last time we were down there they were about 51.

Ended up not making it to Bass. Stopped at a friends house in Clay City and fished his pond. It was cold and the line eyelets kept freezing up. Bite was slow so we stayed there and fished for bass. We ended up catching 14 in the late afternoon using minnows along a weedline within 5 feet of the bank. Good luck there this week. Let us know how you do.

We got on the water about 1 and fished until about 7:30. It was slow for the whole time except one 30 minute intense feeding window. In thirty minutes we moved five fish, got three to eat but unfortuately only got one in the boat. Luckly it was probably the largest of all the fish we saw. It was a FAT fish right at 45 inches long. I actually caught that fish and lost two more in less then ten cast in one small area. We will be back down in the next couple of days.

Man, that's awesome! I've never seen a fish there. Were you jigging for them, casting, or dragging live bait?
Hopefully the weather holds steady for the next few weeks so I can get down there.

We were casting, there was one other boat on the water and part of the way through the evening we talked to them and they had caught one small fish, about 34 inches, on a figure 8. We tried jigging and found several nice fish on the graph but were unable to get them to eat. All three of the fish that I got to eat I actually saw take the bait and only one was at boatside. The first fish we saw was the one I caught, it missed on the fist strike and before I could even hardly react it came back and slammed it. Three cast later I saw a decent fish grab the bait and jerked it out of his mouth without getting a hook in it. A few cast later I had one follow to the boat and miss it in the first turn of the 8 causing it to flair and not come back. After that I gave dad that bait and started throw something else. On his first cast with it he had one following in and got hung on a snag. About fifteen minutes later I got a single follow that I thought was going to eat because it staying in the 8 for SEVERAL turns but lost interest. With the exception of my two biggest fish it was probably my most intense moments musky fishing.

I'm planning on being there Friday, Saturday, or both. Was there checking it out a couple weeks ago and the water levels are back to normal.

I still need to get over there someday. I'm guessing you can't really bank fish for musky.

I just saw a couple of pictures posted on the Spurlin's Facebook page. Looks like the muskies are starting to come out and play.

Spent a few hours on Bass this morning with no luck. I really thought they might bite with the storms coming in. I think I'm done with that little boat out there when the winds are over 10mph....tired being blown around like a bobber! Water temps actually dropped from 56 to 55 while I was there.

It looks like it was a little warmer than the last time you were there! I'm pretty sure that boat was bouncing pretty good since my fat arse wasn't up front to weigh it down!
