Good news if you were wanting to head down to bass and chase some toothy critters. The highest water temp we could find on the lake last night was about 79. Most of the lake was around 78. Moved two nice fish and two small ones. Also had one take the whole tale off a mag bullbog and not get a hook in his mouth at all. Felt great to be back down there and I look forward to "living" down there this fall.

Sure is good to hear the water temperatures are dropping. Seems like we've been seeing lots better fishing reports the last two weeks or so.

Was at the river fishing a little and waded out in the water a little and it was cold.. probably 68 or 70 degrees

We will be heading down at least once before Sunday and hopefully twice. Should be a decent weekend. Goosepond, send me your contact info and there may be a time this fall when I am looking for someone to go with. I have all the equipment just need a partner from time to time when the old man can't make it.

Not very well. I got up at 4:30 AM to make the drive down. Picked up my fishing buddy and made it to the lake at 7:30. Started throwing bucktails, bulldog, large minnow baits, spinning baits, basically the whole tackle box. Even trolled for a couple of hours. Didn't move or see any of those toothy critters. Covered the whole lake. Around 6:30 PM we decided to head over to West Lake. Stayed there until 8:00, then loaded up and drove home.
I did catch about 5 or 6 small bass, and we caught a few bluegills. That's the way it goes sometimes. If you caught em every time, more people would be doing it.
I'll be back!

I went solo on sunday and saw two fish, neither one would eat. Was going to go back either monday or today and had to go out of town last night and just got back home. It has been pretty slow down their for me lately but like you I will be back. Some good consistant weather would definately be a bonus though and it does not look like we will be getting that anytime soon.

HH.....next time you're going solo and don't want to be....hit me with a pm. I'm planning on doing more fishing than hunting this fall and I'm only 20 minutes from the lake. I don't seem to be very good at catching them, but my partners always seems to do good. Guess I'm a good picture taker.  |

My partner canceled on me at about 11:30 the night before because he was out drinking an knew he would not be able to wake up. I tried to send you a text on the way down but the only number I have is your boys and for some reason the text would not go through. I actually tried multiple times. Send me a phone number that I can get you on because I am sure that it won't be the last time I have someone with something to do at the last minute. I also have gooseponds email but it was a last minute thing.
