yeah I went out probably the same night and found a bunch in my freshly tilled garden. They were everywhere and already mating so I caught a bunch of doubles.. those are the best because they cant get away fast and they are all stretched out.. either way i came out covered in mud but I got a jar full. I keep them in a cooler every year and buy worm bedding and just catch a bunch here and there and keep adding them to the cooler. I get a stockpile and never have to buy worms. I put a bunch of that worm bedding from walmart and mix some leaves a little dirt and other things in there and throw a little food in there here and there, it doesnt take a lot of maintenance.. just gotta keep it in a place where they cant get to hot.

Anyone own any AR type rifles.. I really like the feel of them and they shoot very well. I was thinking of purchasing one for a varmint rifle. I have a brand new Savage .223 that gets the job done, but I just think the AR's are fun to shoot and I like to customize so it would be great for me with all the options. Im looking at DPMS right now, if anyone else has suggestions that would be great.

Greene I agree with you on the crossbow season, I think they should have added it to the regular archery season equipment, anything to make a buck I guess. I am still debating on what to think about the package deal. Sounds kinda like another way to make more money, somehow they are going to make money on it..

Yeah I think they will be hen'd up and not come to any kind of calling then. I will be surprised if the turkey harvest numbers are high this year.. Never know until it comes though.

Hey guys, hows it goin, im new here. Big time hunter, fisherman, morel hunter, etc.. I do just about anything outdoors. I live in Bloomington, IN with my wife and two little girls, we also have another child on the way which we dont know the sex of yet. Hopefully its a boy because the estrogen level in this house is getting to high as it is. .. I will try to keep up with the forum as much as possible so I will probably be back often. I have been here a lot just browsing through the site but I just started posting on the board.

Thanks, I have been here numerous times, but never really posted anything. I seen the pics and knew I recognized some of the people in them from the videos and pictures I have seen on here, so I stopped in again and sure enough it was. By the way, I didnt find a darn thing at Shakamak today.. lol... Looked great, but nothing in the bag today for me.. Any hints for that area. Looked to me like you were looking in pine areas or pine borders, but pics dont tell the whole story.

Well I was around Worthington this morning shroom hunting and I spotted a big ol tom on the side of the road with 5 hens.. He was strutting pretty hard. Turkey season starts on the 25th, I wonder if it will be harder to call a tom in since spring started pretty early this year.
