Here's some Roe buck antlers from England. My mate over there did these ones for me, but you get the idea of the angle they cut it on. I use a slightly different angle which incorporates all the front nose section.

I live just south of Newcastle in NSW. But I don't hunt near where I live. Aussies usually travel a fair way to go for a hunt, well, most city people anyway. Look up towns such as: Mudgee Nyngan Cunnamulla Tumut Tamworth
That's where I mainly go. Not uncommon for guys down here to drive 3000kms(1800 odd miles) one way to chase some pigs up in Cape York, lots of good pigs up there and the fishing is just awesome too. I have been to Cape York once(look up 'Musgrave'), back in 2003(lots of photos, but they are all old prints, not digital) and we drove 3 days to get there, hunted 8 days, then drove home. Good trip. However, I'd say a 'normal' hunting trip would be between 4-6 hour drive one way. Also, look up 'wonnangatta' in Victoria. Bloody hard country down there. That's where the sambar deer are. And maybe 'Batchelor' in the NT.

If the dog is anything like its owner(not my dog BTW) yep, he'd be hungover then. I think he is reading the label, lol.

Haha, I wasn't gonna post that one up coz of the language, oh well. That video goes with that fishing story I put up too. The 'Angry Fisherman' is my mate Blue, he's Aussie as. A top bloke. I catch most of my good fish with him on his boat.

Yeah, over boiling turns them soft. About an 1 hour to 1.5 hours max, should be plenty. I don't have any teeth on my heads when I boil them, they are cut off before putting in the boiler. I will try send a few pics of one my heads, so you can see where I cut it. Not tonight though, my heads are in the roof as this stage.

Are you guys only able to shoot 1 buck per year or can you shoot as many as you like?
