What if you go hunting and harvest the new Indiana state record or world record buck? Are you going to be able to live with yourself, knowing that you just bent the rules a little bit or cheated. A SPORTSMEN does not bend the rules. Ask yourself are you a sportsmen?
I did not vote on this subject because I feel that this is a decision you will have to make on your own.

I hate to admit but I do remember those days and don't be sitting in dad's chair either. That's funny because, now days I'll spend 20 minutes looking for the remote control rather than just changing the channel at the t.v. that would only take 5 minutes.

Finally made it back out after working a short call job with a lot of o.t. Set lines at 6am with making the mistake of starting in 70foot of water(fow) heading back in with the waves. Saw the charter captains pull up in 50 fow and start setting lines themselves did see alot of balls of bait from 50-55foot. But I was on a solo mission an had to set lines going with the three foot swells which were coming out of the west heading back to shore. So after getting all lines set I got back on track with my east to west troll and got my first fish at 70fow on full core w/monkey puke spoon. Second fish was on dipsy set on three w/green spin doctor an homemade green fly back 93ft. Third fish was on down rigger with moonshine Mongolian beef spoon set at 66ft. Four fish was on full core monkey puke and fifth fish was on down rigger with Mongolian beef down 40ft. Had another good fish on the dipsy rod but it came off. Ended up going 5/6 with four nice KING'S and one steel head from 70-102fow. Didn't get any pic's but on the disposal camera. But it did feel good to be back on the water again. Did make it out of Michigan City one night after work and only caught one sheep's head(drum) no salmon or trout. Right now I'm trying to plan my first trip up to Ludington,MI.,I will take the digital camera for that one.

I went once to try to kill the mighty o'crow with no luck. The guy I went with put out a owl decoy with a couple of crow decoy's around it,making it look like the owl was eating one of the crows and two ta three crows fighting of the owl. We had a electronic call as well and they did come in but one of us missed the crows where a little gun shy after that. I always said all we needed was a McDonald's bag with a couple of french fries on the ground and it would of worked just as well lol.

I love my Abu Garica reels alot, I own a few of them mostly in the 4:3:1 ratio for slow rolling spinner baits for large mouths at night time. They are a good depentable reel at a good price. I think that I have only burned up one in all my years of fishing and it was the first bait caster I learned on.

I was always told that ever worst day of fishing is still better than a good day at work! I'am sure you'll get them next time.

There is actually a lots you can do with the fishing part. For example each month you have to target one or two different kinds of species. Like lets say the month of April you have to catch your biggest crappie then in May lets see your biggest bass. June your biggest bluegill and so on. There is a lot of ideas you can do with this, maybe let Troy and Chase pick what freshwater species and what month. At the end of the year add up the total inches or who fills each quota and that's your winner. I'am not trying two say that there is anything wrong with the way it's set up now just giving some suggestions.
