Me and my girlfriend doubled (shotgun) opening morning in Greene County. Was an awesome hunt that was really intense. We had at least 6 gobblers and as many jakes and hens in the field at once going nuts. Those two year old birds make you look like a rock star.

That is the way I was raised. My papa wouldn't let us filet a crappie, too much wasted meat. I'll eat the crispies all day long, love em

Yeah I have noticed that the last decade or so, kind of just gave up on it. I have enough frustration killing big deer

Think you probably saw a big gaggle of specks. I am hunting some close to you, flooded fields by the eel river northwest of Worthington. It has not been good, so far, unless you got a big lake with some locals using it. Seen one flight of specks and a few ducks and Canadas just going from lake to lake. It could always change! If we ever get into them good, I will let you guys know, for sure. Can always use more shooters and decoys. Just not as many ducks as there used to be.

Awesome video, Chase! And, a solid bow kill. Nice to see someone still using a compound. Looks similar to my Mathews S2.

Man, they are flat tearing up the slabs down there! Is now the best time around there?

Looks like a good trip! They were catching the whiting when I was at the gulf beaches last summer, we got some given to us fresh and it was very good. Also saw a lot of sheephead in the surf snorkeling. Good time of year right now to fish. Food looks awesome.

Something doesn't calculate. I guess anything can happen, but would have figured Georgia line, not south central by Okeechobee

I've found a couple American chestnut trees, the nuts won't last long! You can use a few for cooking yourself.

Just saw on Instagram and Facebook where a tampon was caught on Lake Woodruff this week...that's where we do a lot crappie fishing! Crazy! That is a trophy tampon, for sure!

Just helped him mark some property lines at his place. I am a land surveyor. Beautiful property in a great area. I am sure there are more than one cat out there. I was just talking with someone with a lease down by Madison and he said they are over run with them.

They are everywhere and people are having to take things into there own hands. Just think of the all the people with pets in Painted Hills. Tell Don that Eric Williams said hi and good luck this season. Good people!

Owner hooks are about all I use if I am serious side fishing. I like the groves but go way out for spawning reds then you get in the big ones 20lb+ but you have to know where they are (charter$$)

Good job man, wish I had that patience because this season that about the only way to get one. Tons of hens and they just won't let the toms go anywhere.
