These kitties keep showing up on our cameras in Morgan County. It is at least the 3rd different one according to body size and varying physical characteristics. The property owner and his daughter were up in a two man deer stand less than a week ago and watched really big bobcat stalk and catch a grey squirrel about 15 yards right in front of them. How cool would that have been!!!

They are everywhere and people are having to take things into there own hands. Just think of the all the people with pets in Painted Hills. Tell Don that Eric Williams said hi and good luck this season. Good people!

I have yet to see one in the woods, but I did finally get a decent picture of one on my trail cam at the end of September.

Pretty cool! I really thought we'd have a season for them this year. I haven't seen one with my own eyes yet either but I know they're getting thick from all the trailcam pics and other witnesses.

Just helped him mark some property lines at his place. I am a land surveyor. Beautiful property in a great area. I am sure there are more than one cat out there. I was just talking with someone with a lease down by Madison and he said they are over run with them.

Yes, when I talked to him the other day he told me about the work you did for him and how helpful you were. He had great things to say about you! We were down there again today and saw a few deer, did some camera checking, and set a few coyote traps. It is a nice piece of property and I am more than fortunate to be able to enjoy it.

I can't believe it was less than 2 years ago I had never seen a bobcat in person and now I've seen so many it's not a big deal anymore. My latest was Friday afternoon at work in Terre Haute. Was backing out of the pump house property and thought I was looking at a small dog and pup along the road until they moved into the woods and I realized it was a bobcat and kitten.

I have not heard of any bobcat sightings in Marshall county as of yet but we got pictures on one of our trail cameras of one the other day. Most of the bobcat sightings that I have heard of have been in the southern half of the state. I was extremely shocked to get a picture of one on one of our trail cameras here in the far north. I know very little about bobcats but I do have a question. Is it a good thing or bad thing to have bobcats around? Is it something to be concerned about?

That's a good question. I thought the introduction of bobcats would spell doom for what small game was left around here. That doesn't seem to be the case though. Around me at least the rabbits and even quail seem to be making a comeback. And the squirrels are thicker than I've ever seen!
