There is an old strip pit on my grandma's property and I thought this spring I could host a BB&B fish and greet.
I am open to suggestions for dates, but I was thinking the first weekend in May would be good as the fish should be biting. Saturday or Sunday works with me.
Jon boats and smaller bass boats are okay, but there isn't really a way to get anything of size onto the water. There are a few spots to bank fish and a couple of docks.
It hasn't really been fished too hard the last few years, so I'd say the fish could use a good day of action.
Let me know if you're interested and if that date works or not. I know you can't satisfy everyone, but hopefully we can figure out a date that works for most everyone.

How big of a pit is it? (Not that size really matters, just curious)

So it looks like the first weekend in May is good to go. Do folks prefer a Saturday or Sunday?

Here is a picture that was in the local paper. It gives you a little better idea as it was taken from the road.

We'll go with Saturday the 5th. I plan to be there by 8:00 that morning.
Once we get closer to the day I will provide directions for those planning to fish.

It looks like this is going to double as a getaway for my buddy while his wife has her baby shower.
Is it spring yet?

Turned out to be a nice day today with the exception of the wind. I hate wind. To think we had about an inch of snow on the ground yesterday morning as well. Now it's all gone. My sinuses have punished me for the last 2 weeks so I'm ready for the warm up and for it to stay warm.
