Ingredients: Deer steak/chops Cream of mushroom soup Lightly coat the deer with flour and brown on both sides. (This step isn't really necessary, but I find that it makes the "gravy" a little thicker.) Put the meat in the crock pot, cover with cream of mushroom soup. We usually make this in the morning, then let it cook until supper time. I like to have it with mashed potatoes or rice.

Made this yesterday with a few modifications. We were out of cream of mushroom soup, so I substituted cream of chicken. Threw 5 whole potatoes (good idea, Tyler) and a bunch of peeled carrots in to make it a "one-pot" meal. This is now my wife's favorite venison meal. That may be because she didn't have to do anything but eat it. Kids all loved it, too.

I made a little different variation of this today. I only had one can of cream of mushroom soup, so I added a can of mushrooms and 1 beer along with some diced taters, onion, seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder. It was GOOD.

Have been doing something like this for years in the cast iron skillet...the wife and kids favorite meal. Brown the meat, add the soup, let simmer for an hour or more make mashed taters. Works with chicken, pork loin/chops, cubed steak. Will have to try it out in the crock pot, with the taters and carrots.
