I've been blessed over the past year to have caught some fish species that I never had before; I love catching BIG fish! The next big fish I want to catch is a striper or big flathead or blue cat. I've heard of BIG stripers being caught at Raccoon and Patoka, although I heard that Patoka had the lake turn over last year and the oxygen levels dropped to low and killed off the biggest of it's stripers. For big cats, I guess I'll try the rivers or Monroe. I heard that big cat guide and tv host, Eddie Brochin, thinks the next state record flathead will come out of Lkae Monroe. If anyone's had experience catching big cats or big stripers, your help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Racoon is the best spot for stripers around here. although ive heard a rumor that someone near linton has a pond full of stripers but noone can fish there. as for flatheads i'd talk to FBD

If I had the money to buy a heavy duty rod and reel i would go down to wheeler lake about 15 miels south of where I live, and go after some monster blue cats. (state record was caught there - 95 pounds) The majority are probably 30-60 pounds.

Don't leave out the Ohio River Troy. Launch at Newburgh and put yourself about 200 feet away from the dam. It's really deep in front of that dam. Indianas' record blue cat came out of the Ohio and weighed in at 104. Anyway, how about catching a big gar or better yet taking it with a bow! I know 2 of the guys in this pic and this was taken in Louisiana.
