I like the ghost rings. I am thinking about putting something like that on my Swiss K31.

I went to the Indy 1500 gun show this morning with a couple ideas in mind on what I was going to buy and this is what I brought home. It's a CMMG AR-15 lower (5.56), lower parts kit and a UTG 4 position stock. I really wanted to slide the card on an upper as well but I figured I'd better wait.

I was 20 when I got my first hand gun. My dad had to buy it and I already had my pistol permit so I could legally carry it. So when Huntingman turns 18 he can apply for his permit and then legally carry it but can buy one until he's 21.

How do you apply? Thinking about getting one before Obama and Pelosi make it even more difficult (or impossible).

Hey Spainy, how do the handgun permits work? Are they yearly, lifetime? How do you apply? Thinking about getting one before Obama and Pelosi make it even more difficult (or impossible). The best thing to do is go ahead and pony up for the lifetime because there have been rumors that the state may do away with it. I think they are realizing how much money they are losing by not having people renew every 3-4 years. If your within the Riley "city" limits you may be able to apply through their police station. If not you will have to go to the Vigo County Sheriffs Office to take care of it. I've never lived within "city limits" so I always had to go to the Sheriffs office whether it be Greene or Sullivan. I took care of my lifetime back in '07 and the cost was $75 plus what ever the Sheriffs office will charge to take care of the paperwork. They'll get the form and take your fingerprints to put on it. Then it's just a matter of filling it out and sending it in along with a money order (that and I think it has to be sent in a big envelope, can't think of what they're called). I'm pretty sure the majority of the paperwork is filled out there when you get "printed". Earlier in the year the wait time for receiving a permit was lengthy due to the Obama-craze but I think it's slowed down some on people applying for the permits. Before they offered the lifetime it usually took 2-4 weeks to get them.

Shortly after I posted the pic of the lower I checked out youtube for instructional video on how to assemble it. AR15.com also has written out directions as well. I took my time with it and roughly 1.5 hours later I had it done. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be and everything operates as it should.
