do you catch your own worms or buy them from a store?

What we do is take a square bale of hay and scatter it out. If it's wet enough, the hay will be full of worms and night carawlers. But, it's been dry so we have to buy them.

i understand. we do something like that to catch crickets which are great bait for sunfish. you just put a board on the ground somewhere and leave it till you are gonna go fishing then lift it up and pick up the crickets quick or they all jump away.
