I have fished at my uncles pond for about 5 years we have caught many cats but it seems like they know our tricks and they dont bite our bait any more if anyone has any suggestions our homemade baits i would love to here em

for a great chum mix the following. in an old coffee can that still has some grounds in it add a can of creamed corn and a can of whole kernel corn (juice and all). then add about a tablespoon of garlic powder, onion powder, and cinnamon. then leave it in a warm spot for about three days. just hold your nose when you toss it out. this stuff will draw the most finicky cats up to feed. then cast a strawberry flavored artificial bait under a float about 18 inches down into the area that you chummed. good luck.
