Groundhog in a Tree

I was recently at my aunt's farm and shot one out of a tree about thirty feet up. Had never seen that before.

3 times. Twice when I was a kid. Once when we were coon hunting, our dog treed a groundhog and three young ones. I also seen one when I was a kid along our lake in a tree..It was about 20 years before I seen this again up in Michigan while turkey hunting. I dont thinks it common but they do climb. The guy I was turkey hunting with in Michigan had also seen this before in that same area.

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
