Put my 5 crab pots out on Lake George a few days ago and then ran them yesterday. Had a heck of a time finding all 5 but we finally did. Ended up with 9 crabs. 5 were pretty nice and the other 4 are going to be used as bait over in the saltwater.

The traps still had a little bait left in them the other day(chicken legs & mullet) so I dropped them around the boat dock. Got them out yesterday and had 5 crabs in 5 traps. I cleaned them and cut them into small chunks then froze to use as sheepshead bait this winter when they're usually sold out of good bait.

Super cool video! I think I could really get into running the crab pots. I don't think I've ever eaten blue crab before. How are they?

Super cool video! I think I could really get into running the crab pots. I don't think I've ever eaten blue crab before. How are they? They're really good but kind of hard to eat and there isn't a whole lot of meat on a blue crab. I liked how I did these with the shrimp. I could pop a couple shrimp as I was picking the pieces of meat out of the crab. 😂
