So I’ve been drooling over those Sea Doo Fish Pro jet ski’s ever since they first came out. It’s hard to justify buying a $20k jet ski though when I’ve never even been on one. I decided to buy a cheaper model to see how I like riding them. Been watching marketplace and a few days ago one popped up here in Astor that was just what I was looking for. It was only a mile away and ended up being a house on the river we’ve been by a hundred times. The guy that had it is a captain for U.S. Tow Boats and we always see his tow boats when we go by. Anyhow, bought it and took it for a spin and I really like it. Went around a long creek that’s idle only and it did great, even seen a manatee. I had it up to 42mph on the river and really don’t have a desire to go any faster on the lol. Weather permitting I’m going to get Gail out on it in the morning. It’s a 2017 Sea Doo Spark 3up with 78hrs and a trailer. It’s a 4 stroke with the breaking system and reverse. I rode for over an hour and hardly used any gas, which is one of the reasons I was looking for one of these. Plus it uses regular 87 octane. If Gail likes it I might keep this one and then get a Fish Pro so we can ride and fish together.

Gail woke up with really bad allergies yesterday so we didn’t take it out. Headed home instead.

I've ridden many jet ski's in my life. The downfall to most any jet ski is it's lack of stability while sitting idle. I'm curious, how is the stability with this one? I've always had the idea that these would be a great option to fish from if the stability was much improved.

I could step right on it from the dock and it didn't try to flip. I think you could definitely set sideways on it and fish. I'm gonna try attaching my kayak crate to the back of it. Hopefully try it sometime soon. I'm at work and ready to go back already!

I like what this fella did. Mine is a 3up model so I would have more room to work back there than he did on his 2up.
