Headed back to northern Volusia county this afternoon, this time armed with my crab hand nets. Had our best crabbing day to date with 27 kept plus a bunch given away to a lady who was trying it for the first time. Probably caught well over a 100 blue crabs because most were small.
Gail added a keeper mangrove snapper and a guy gave us a nice weakfish. Chicken legs were the hot bait for crabs and some were caught with mullet.

I gave some to mom and dad and they boiled them, mine I grilled last night and made a big batch of crab dip. 😋

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
