Was moving the pontoon from one dock to another today and decided to try and catch a crappie on the way. It was an absolute beautiful day out but the fish wouldn’t cooperate. Ended up with 1 nice channel cat that I’ll be posting a video of. The river is really moving! Fastest current I’ve seen down here.

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from fishing.

Got back on the river yesterday. No luck again. Managed 1 smallish speck. Saw a friggin island floating down the river when we first left the dock. I mean this thing had ferns and small trees growing on it! 😂

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
