The plan was to put out my crab pots and go bass fishing but we woke up to a small craft advisory due to the wind. Decided to try our spots over in the salt from shore. Still had some live shrimp and picked up a dozen mud minnows. I also chunked up my jack from the night before. Went to our bank spot on Turnbull Bay but the bite was really slow. Colt did manage a few small mangrove snapper with one just barely under the legal size of 10 inches. We moved over to our spot over on the Halifax River and Gail caught a 13” flounder. I just had out a chunk of jack crevalle and after hours of waiting it finally got bit. Nice little shark but I wasn’t positive of the identity so it went back. The jack I used as bait for the shark…

From what I can tell and 1 other person commented, I believe that’s a lemon shark which is protected in Florida. Was hoping for an Atlantic sharpnose or bonnet head so I could keep it.

I picked up a little wooden shark at Dollar Tree to commemorate my shark catch. 😂

I just noticed I put the wrong date on the shark! That’s what I get for listening to Gail. 😂
