Congrats Lee! That’s pretty cool having the added trailcam pics.

I have a few more pics before the one I posted occurred. This buck actually had a bum back left leg and he's carrying it in all the pics. What I don't know is where or what he was doing in the 7 minutes between this pic and the one I posted earlier. I'm starting to think the buck my bro in law seen was not this one. He said that deer was moving pretty quick and did not look injured. In the end I think it was just dumb luck I ended up tagging this buck. I thought my first shot hit a limb, deflected, and hit the deer in the basically the ankle (almost severing the bottom of his leg). After looking at these photos his leg was injured before I shot him.

The pics I’ve been getting lately. That’s Gail’s Pyrenees “Puffers.” 🙄 Looks like a squirrel maybe in her mouth?

Deer season was not great for me. I wasn't able to hunt the spot I hunted in Bloomington last year, so I was back at my grandma's. Never saw a buck from the stand. Had a shot at a couple of does, but I still have meat in the freezer from last year and figured the local herd could stand to have a few more fawns.
Glad to see a few folks on here had some luck.

I could've harvested a couple of does but, like you, I have plenty of meat in the freezer and we could also use a few extra fawns for next year. So, I opted to hold out for the sake of the herd.
