You might have seen in our videos the dilapidated motel we fish in front of sometimes in Astor on the St Johns River. Well, it looks it will be getting quite the facelift! Thirty million dollars worth actually. This will hopefully be a positive thing for our home away from home.

Is there potable waterline?

Astor has a wastewater plant on our side of the river in Lake County. Each residence has a grinder pump that sewage goes through before heading to the treatment plant. The marina is in Volusia County on the other side of the river and evidently in need. It surprised me to read that they’re still using septics over there.

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
