Well, I finally delved into the pedal kayaks. Wasn't looking for one but Pelican has a scratch and dent sale going on right now and has them $500 off with free shipping. I've had it loaded in my cart 3 different times this weekend but backed out, then I got a notification from my Choice Hotels credit card offering 0% interest until the end of the year to get me to start using it again and I took that as a sign.

Says it ships from Canada and allow 2 weeks. Hopefully I'll get it in time to take it out after some quackers. If it hurts my knees as bad as I'm afraid it will one of you guys might get a good deal on it come spring! P-)

It says on the website that the hydrive system has been reworked and upgraded for these models so hopefully the problems are fixed. If not, it will still have the full warranty and from what I hear Pelican has been good about fixing them.

Unfortunately I had other things going on and didn't even have time to unwrap it and check it out. Now I'm back to work and won't see daylight until next week.

Wow, this is embarrassing. FINALLY got this kayak out! Only a year and a half late. 🙄
It’s pretty sweet. Only had it out on the pond but it will scoot right across there. Didn’t seem to bother my knees either.
