That Zebco 33 has probably caught more fish in history than any other reel made. That's what most of us started on. Heck, my grandparents had a whole arsenal of those things. My grandpa loved them. I still like to use them when bobber fishing because I seem to have less reel issues with a closed face like that than any other model.

Don't get me wrong, I love the zebco 33's! Grew up using them with my Grandpa on the White River and at Shakamak.
It just cracks me up that Gail kept catching crappie on that 33 with the heavy cheapo line and I'm using BnM crappie rods with Shimano reels and Cajun camo line and all I could catch was dinks and a creepy catfish!
