Dive Bomb Decoys

At right around 5:00 I had a group of 7-9 geese come in and circle twice, but wouldn't light. They flew across the road and circled yet another neighbors pond and then came back over and kept going and landed on the neighbors pit. I'm guessing the geese either spotted me because most of the brush I had on top of the blind had blown away or they didn't like how much motion the decoys were putting on in the heavy winds. That or my terribly calling. I wish now that I would have blasted them when they were overhead because they were definitely in range. Was just hoping for a perfectly planned hunt with them landing in the dekes. That was all I seen until I was picking up the decoys in the dark after 6 and had birds flying all around me. Headed for the pit roost I'm guessing.
