I've been seeing lots of good things about crappie fishing in central & southern Indiana. Patoka lake has been giving up lots of full stringers of crappie. Mostly small ones. Some have already spawned, and seems like nobody has found those schools of big ones ! Monroe reservoir is pretty much the same ! Where are all the big ones hiding at Bluegill have begun making beds at both Monroe & Patoka Hovey lake crappie are done with the spawn, and bluegill and bass are moving in to bed ! Farm ponds and strip pits are on fire in the southern 2/3rds of the state, and fly fishing anglers have been having a blast !!! Good fishing everyone !!!

Thanks for the report, Sam. Now that Troy and I put this turkey season in the books, it's time to go after some slabs!
