Went to Croy Creek Saturday and found some bargains. For those that don't know, Croy Creek Trader Days is a big flea market near Brazil, Indiana that's held the 1st and 3rd weekends of the warmer months. My big find is in the video but we also got deals on some stainless pans that Gail will use as dog bowls, some crappie jigs, potatoes, and 3 cases of baby wipes really cheap (they come in very handy when you raise puppies.)

Finally got around to ordering a handle for my Penn Fierce II. Cost me $16 on eBay. Still a good deal on a nice reel I think!

Well, this is crazy. I was setting in the dark on the beach just now trying to catch a shark with my snapper head from earlier and I just snapped a pic of the Okuma reel I picked up at the flea market. I was going to say what a work horse it's been this week catching probably 50+ catfish and a bonnethead shark on the beach. Seconds after snapping the pic the rod slams into the sand and I hear drag screaming. Something, a nice shark I'm guessing, took off with the bait and was going to spool me. I kept tightening the drag until I thought I could finally start fighting the beast but then the hook popped out! Oh well. It has been a real good reel...especially for a flea market find.

Sorry to hear you didn't get to finish the fight. Always good when your equipment does what it was suppose to.
