So we're in the process of turning a 12 X 32 shed into a dog kennel. The building is a Graceland and I would not recommend them if you happen to be looking. The building itself seems to be of decent quality but the people you have to deal with there are not. Gail bought the building from a dealer in Linton and when it was delivered it was the wrong color. How in the world do you mess that up? She should have had them just take it back but the driver said they could come back out and re-paint it. Well, turns out the type of paint they use can't be painted over so we ended getting a new barn. This is after Gail had already insulated most of the other one with some 3" thick Styrofoam she found on marketplace. A different driver came out to switch the sheds out and ended up hitting our pole barn and then couldn't get the new building to go into the spot the other one was. We finally just told the idiot to just set it up in a different spot that wasn't near anything he could damage again. He also did a lot of damage to the roof getting it down the driveway and another guy had to come and repair that. This is something we've been dealing with since spring pretty much.
So enough about Graceland!
We have the Styrofoam insulation in the new building now and that was a chore because even though the buildings were the same size, they weren't built exactly the same. Gail cut the insulation with a hot knife and I have a video I'll be posting of that. We also picked up some 3" thick fiberglass insulation boards from the same guy in Prairie Creek that had the Styrofoam and we put that in the ceiling.
This week we have been working on the floor. We looked at a lot of different options but ended up going with a product called RockSolid by Rustoleum. This is for garage floors but we were told that it also works on wood if it's prepped right. I'll post some pics of our progress so far and like I said, there will be a few videos come out during this process.
